Cheese

Standard

“Cheese”

Portrait picture flashed

As he pushed down the button to snap me

That’s the aroma that contained me.
Strong like Stilton

Ever present in my cavities

He said “cheese”

As he mapped his addiction
With pictures
To show he had conquered another victim

Was cheesy, with his grin
As his imprint
Left trails
Of legacies that would never be fulfilled

But spilled
Down

People like ‘me’

I can’t bare the sight of cheeses

I wear a crucified smile on my face
As it is bleeding.
Weeping from the lack of sleep
As he snapped and said Cheese.

I’ve not told this to anyone
So I’ll never start healing.
But be left with this feeling
And scent of…
